Walking

From the center of Oberammergau, head east on Ludwigstraße towards the Kofelsteig. After about 200 meters, turn left onto Kofelsteig. Continue walking straight for approximately 1 km. You will see signs directing you to König-Ludwig-Feuer, which is located on Kofelsteig. The walk should take around 15-20 minutes, and the scenery along the way is quite beautiful.

Public Transportation

If you prefer public transport, take the local bus from Oberammergau to the bus stop Kofelsteig. Buses run every 30 minutes, and the fare is approximately €2.50 per person. Once you get off at the bus stop Kofelsteig, König-Ludwig-Feuer is just a short 5-minute walk from there. Follow the Kofelsteig road heading south, and you will find the attraction.

Driving

If you are driving, set your GPS to Kofelsteig, 82487 Oberammergau. There is usually parking available along Kofelsteig, but do check for signage indicating parking rules. Once parked, you will need to walk for about 5-10 minutes to reach König-Ludwig-Feuer by walking along Kofelsteig in the direction of the hiking trail.
