If you are traveling by car, you can easily reach Burg Erfenstein from various locations in Palatinate. Start by navigating to the A65 motorway. Take the exit for Landau (A65) and continue on B10 towards Neustadt an der Weinstraße. Take the exit for B39 towards Esthal. Follow the B39 until you reach Esthal. The castle is located at Talstraße 11, 67466 Esthal. There is parking available near the site, but be aware that some areas might have parking fees.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, start by taking a train to Neustadt an der Weinstraße. From there, you can take a bus towards Esthal. The bus line 501 or 502 will take you close to Burg Erfenstein. Make sure to check the current bus schedules as they may vary. Once you arrive in Esthal, you may need to walk approximately 10-15 minutes to reach the castle at Talstraße 11. Note that public transport routes may require a transfer, so plan accordingly.
Walking
If you are already in Esthal, you can simply walk to Burg Erfenstein. From the town center, head south on Talstraße, and follow the road for about 1 kilometer. The castle will be on your right. It’s a pleasant walk through the scenic surroundings of the Palatinate region.
