Car
If you're traveling by car, head towards Kaiserslautern. From the city center, drive northwest on B270. Follow the signs for Hohenecken. After about 5 km, take the exit towards Hohenecken. Continue on Schlossstraße until you reach Burg Hohenecken at Schlossstraße 35A, 67661 Kaiserslautern. There is free parking available near the castle.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take the S-Bahn (S1) from Kaiserslautern Hauptbahnhof to Hohenecken. The train ride is about 10 minutes. Once you arrive at Hohenecken station, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 km to reach Burg Hohenecken. Follow the signs towards Schlossstraße, and you will find the castle on your left. Alternatively, you can take bus number 120 from the Kaiserslautern bus station to Hohenecken. The bus fare is around €2.50.
Walking from Hohenecken Station
If you prefer to walk from Hohenecken station, exit the station and turn left onto Hohenecker Straße. Continue straight until you reach Schlossstraße. Turn right on Schlossstraße, and after about 1 km, you will see Burg Hohenecken on your left. The scenic walk takes approximately 20-25 minutes.
