If you are in the center of Potsdam, head towards the main pedestrian street, Brandenburgstraße. Walk along Brandenburgstraße until you reach the intersection with Yorckstraße. Turn left onto Yorckstraße and continue walking for about 300 meters. You will see Alter Stadtkanal on your right, located at Yorckstraße 6.

From the main train station (Potsdam Hauptbahnhof), take bus line 605 towards 'Potsdam, Pappelallee.' Ride for two stops and get off at 'Potsdam, Yorckstraße.' From the bus stop, walk approximately 150 meters down Yorckstraße, and you will find Alter Stadtkanal at Yorckstraße 6 on your left.

From the city center, you can catch tram line 91 from 'Potsdam, Brandenburger Tor' station. Ride the tram for three stops until you reach 'Potsdam, Yorckstraße.' Upon exiting the tram, walk about 200 meters down Yorckstraße, and Alter Stadtkanal will be located on your left at Yorckstraße 6.
