Walking
If you are starting from Potsdam Central Station (Potsdam Hauptbahnhof), exit the station and head towards the main road (Albert Einstein Str.). Turn left on the road and continue walking straight. After about 1 km, you will reach the intersection with Breite Str. Turn right onto Breite Str. and continue until you reach the Brandenburg Gate (Brandenburger Tor). From the Brandenburg Gate, continue straight on Am Alten Markt for approximately 300 meters. You will see the Obelisk on your left.

From Potsdam Central Station (Potsdam Hauptbahnhof), take Bus 605 towards 'Nauen, Bahnhof' or Bus 631 towards 'Babelsberg, Bahnhof'. Get off at the stop 'Am Alten Markt'. From the bus stop, walk a short distance (about 100 meters) towards the Obelisk, which will be visible from the stop.

From the nearest tram station to the center, 'Potsdam, Platz der Einheit', take Tram 91 towards 'Potsdam, Bhf. Pirschheide'. Get off at 'Potsdam, Am Alten Markt' tram station. From there, it is just a short walk (about 100 meters) to the Obelisk, which will be located nearby on your left.
