Train
From Potsdam Hauptbahnhof (main train station), take the S7 train towards 'Ahrensfelde' or the S5 train towards 'Westkreuz'. After about 30 minutes, get off at 'Zoologischer Garten' station in Berlin. Once you exit the station, walk towards Hardenbergplatz. The Berlin Zoological Garden is located at Hardenbergpl. 8, just a short 5-minute walk from the station.
Bus
From Potsdam, take the bus 605 towards 'S-Bahnhof Griebnitzsee'. Ride for about 20 minutes to 'S-Bahn Griebnitzsee'. Transfer to S-Bahn S1 towards 'Oranienburg' or S7 towards 'Ahrensfelde'. Get off at 'Zoologischer Garten' station. After exiting, walk towards Hardenbergplatz; the Berlin Zoological Garden is just a 5-minute walk from the station.
Tram
From the center of Potsdam, head to the nearest tram station and take tram line 92 towards 'Potsdam, Hauptbahnhof'. After about 10 minutes, transfer at 'Potsdam, Hauptbahnhof' to the S7 or S5 train towards Berlin. Get off at 'Zoologischer Garten'. Walk towards Hardenbergplatz to reach the Berlin Zoological Garden, which will take about 5 minutes.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bike in Potsdam and head towards Berlin via the scenic route along the Havel River. Follow the cycle path along the river, which will take you through beautiful parks and areas. The ride is approximately 12 km and will take around 45 minutes. Once you reach Berlin, head towards Hardenbergplatz to find the Berlin Zoological Garden located at Hardenbergpl. 8.
Walking
If you are feeling adventurous and want to explore more of Potsdam, you can walk to Berlin. The distance is around 12 km, which will take approximately 2 hours. Start from the city center of Potsdam and follow the signs to Berlin, passing through parks and historical sites along the way. Once you arrive in Berlin, make your way to Hardenbergplatz to reach the Berlin Zoological Garden.
