Car
If you're traveling by car, head towards the town of Ulmen, located in the district of Cochem-Zell. From the center of Rhineland, navigate towards the A48 motorway. Once on the A48, take the exit towards Ulmen (exit 5). Follow the signs for Ulmen, and as you enter the town, continue to follow the signs to Ulmener Maar. There is parking available near the area, which may incur a small fee.
Public Transportation
To reach Ulmener Maar via public transport, take a train to the nearest major station, which is Cochem. From Cochem, you can take a regional bus (bus route 712) towards Ulmen. The bus will drop you off in the town center. From there, you can either walk (approximately 1.5 km) following the signs to Ulmener Maar or take a local taxi for a short ride. Be sure to check the bus schedules in advance, as they may vary, and a ticket for the bus may cost around €2-€4.
