Getting There

  • Walking

    If you're starting from Rostock Hauptbahnhof (the central train station), exit the train station and head southeast on Roonstraße. Continue straight for about 600 meters until you reach the intersection with Schillerstraße. Turn right onto Schillerstraße, and continue walking for another 400 meters. At the end of Schillerstraße, turn left onto Rungestraße. Rostock Altstadt will be on your right side at Rungestraße 79-78. The total walking distance is approximately 1.2 kilometers and should take about 15-20 minutes.

  • Tram

    From Rostock Hauptbahnhof, you can take tram line 1 or 5 towards 'Dierkower Kreuz'. Board the tram at the station and ride for about 3 stops (approximately 10 minutes). Get off at the 'Kapitänsweg' stop. From there, walk straight down Kapitänsweg until you reach the intersection with Rungestraße. Turn right onto Rungestraße, and Rostock Altstadt will be located on your right at Rungestraße 79-78.

  • Bus

    If you prefer to take the bus, from Rostock Hauptbahnhof, you can board bus number 120 or 122. Ride for about 4 stops and get off at 'Rostock, Pionierstraße'. From there, walk straight down Pionierstraße until you reach the intersection with Rungestraße. Turn left onto Rungestraße, and Rostock Altstadt will be on your left at Rungestraße 79-78. The bus ride takes around 10-15 minutes depending on traffic.
