Walking
From Freiberg's city center (e.g., the Rathaus on Obermarkt), Schloss Freudenstein is a short walk. Head east towards Schlossplatz. The castle is easily visible and well-signposted. The walk is approximately 5-10 minutes, depending on your starting point in the city center. Note the slight uphill incline as you approach Schlossplatz.
Public Transport
If arriving at Freiberg (Sachs) train station, take Bus line A or C towards the city center. Get off at the 'Bebelplatz' stop. From there, walk along Wallstraße towards Schlossplatz (approx. 500m). A single bus fare costs approximately €2.50. Alternatively, from the train station, a taxi to Schloss Freudenstein will cost around €8-€12.
Driving
If driving, follow signs towards the city center and Schlossplatz. Limited parking is available directly in front of the castle on Schlossplatz. Two disabled parking spaces are available. Additional parking is available in the Geschwister-Scholl-Straße (250 meters, 3 minutes walk). Parking fees range from €1-€2 per hour.
