Public Transport
Several public transport options provide access to Schwanheimer Dünen. From Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof (main station), take the S1 or S2 train to Frankfurt-Schwanheim station. From there, it's approximately a 20-minute walk to the dunes. Alternatively, take tram lines 10 or 11 to the 'Bolongaropalast' stop, then take the ferry across the Main River to Schwanheim, followed by a 1.5km walk. Bus line 51 also stops at 'Schwanheimer Friedhof', about a 500m walk to the dunes. A single public transport fare within Frankfurt is around €2.75.
Driving
If driving, parking is available near the entrance to Schwanheimer Unterfeld, where Höchster Weg becomes a single-lane road. From there, it's about a 300m walk to the dunes on the path that branches off to the left of Kelsterbacher Weg. Parking is free. Alternatively, parking is available along Leunastraße at the Industriepark, from where you can access the dunes via the R3 cycle path.
