If you're traveling by car, start by heading towards Königstein im Taunus. Use a GPS navigation system and enter the coordinates 50.9190556, 14.0572936 or the address 01824 Königstein. From the center of Taunus, take the A3 motorway towards Frankfurt, then merge onto the A661 towards Bad Homburg. Exit at Königstein and follow the signs for the fortress. There is a parking lot available near the entrance, but please note that parking may incur a fee.

For those using public transportation, start by taking a regional train (S-Bahn) to Königstein station from Frankfurt or other nearby towns. Once you arrive at Königstein station, exit and look for bus line 22, which will take you directly to the Königstein Fortress. The bus stop is right outside the station. The bus ride is approximately 10 minutes, and the fare for a single ticket is around €2.50. After disembarking at the fortress stop, follow the signs to the entrance.

If you prefer to walk from Königstein station, it is about a 30-minute walk to the fortress. Exit the station and head north on Königsteiner Straße. Follow the signs towards the fortress, which will lead you through picturesque streets and eventually up to the hill where the fortress is located.
