Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey by heading towards Munich. From the A93 autobahn, take the exit towards the A9 towards Munich. Once on the A9, continue until you reach the A9/A9 junction. Merge onto the A9, and follow the signs for 'München Zentrum'. As you approach the city, follow the signs for 'Maxvorstadt'. Once you reach Münchener Freiheit, take the B2R towards the city center. Continue on this road, and you will see signs for Königsplatz. There is limited street parking available around the area, so be sure to check the parking regulations. Expect to pay around €2-€4 per hour for parking.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, your best option is to take the S-Bahn or U-Bahn to reach Königsplatz. If you are in the central station (München Hauptbahnhof), take the U2 line towards Messestadt Ost and get off at Königsplatz station. The journey takes about 5 minutes. Once you exit the station, follow the signs for 'Königsplatz', which is just a short walk away. A single ticket costs approximately €2.90. Make sure to validate your ticket before boarding.
Walking
If you are already in the vicinity of the city center, Königsplatz is easily accessible on foot. From Marienplatz, walk north along Kaufingerstraße until you reach Karlsplatz (Stachus). From there, continue walking north along the street towards the Maxvorstadt area. After about a 15-minute walk, you will arrive at Königsplatz. This route is approximately 1.3 kilometers and provides a pleasant view of the city.
