Car
If you are driving, head towards Düsseldorf city center. Use the A52 or A46 to reach the city. Once in Düsseldorf, follow signs for 'Altstadt' (Old Town). You can park at nearby parking garages such as 'Q-Park Düsseldorf Altstadt' or 'Parkhaus am Schadowplatz.' From the parking garage, it's a short walk to Rheinuferpromenade. Just head towards the river, and you will find the promenade along the banks of the Rhine.
Public Transportation (Train)
If you are using public transportation, take a regional train to Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof (main station). From there, you can either walk (about 20 minutes) or take the U-Bahn (subway). For the subway, take Line U74, U76, or U77 towards 'Rheinstadt' and get off at 'Heinrich-Heine-Allee' station. From the station, it's about a 10-minute walk towards the Rhine river, following signs to the promenade.
Public Transportation (Tram)
Another option is to take a tram. From Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof, take tram line 701 or 703 towards 'Düsseldorf Altstadt.' Get off at the 'Heinrich-Heine-Allee' stop. After exiting the tram, walk toward the river, and you will arrive at Rheinuferpromenade within 10 minutes.
Walking
If you find yourself in the Altstadt area, you can simply walk to Rheinuferpromenade. Just head towards the river from the Marktplatz (Market Square) at Marktpl. 2, which is a short 5-minute walk. Once you reach the riverbank, enjoy the beautiful views along the promenade.
