Cultural Germany in a nutshell
My daughter had booked a short day trip with Manfred. My wife, my two daughters, and I had different tastes, and we expected all of us to be satisfied, and we all were. Manfred was keen to spend a few minutes at the Hotel lobby to get to know us, our backgrounds, and what we were interested in. He then planned a trip for us based on our expectations and said there would be something for all of us that day, and it was. We saw the Schloss Heidelberg, previewed the old town, visited the market place and walked on the old bridge - all the while hearing stories of war, the nobles and the economy from Manfred. He provides all that is said on the website with excellent English, a smile, and plenty of mirth-filled jokes. He shares quite a bit of his life, too, if you are interested. He loves this place and his work. I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone looking for a cultural taste of Germany, packaged in a form that would suit your needs and the time available.
