If you are starting from Würzburg's city center (Marktplatz), head south towards the Residenzplatz. From there, take the Residenzstraße heading west. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with the Juliuspromenade. Turn left onto Juliuspromenade, and follow it until you reach the foot of the hill leading to Marienberg Fortress. You will see the fortress on your left. Follow the signs that lead you up the hill; it takes about 15-20 minutes to walk up.
