The Majestic New Munster: A Gem of Würzburg

Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the Würzburg Residence (Residenz Würzburg), exit the main entrance and turn left onto Residenzplatz. Walk straight until you reach the intersection with Balthasar-Neumann-Straße. Turn right onto Balthasar-Neumann-Straße, and continue walking straight until you reach the end of the street. At the end, you will come to the intersection with Martinstraße. Turn left onto Martinstraße, and you will see New Munster at number 4, just a short walk ahead on your left.

• Public Transport (Bus)

  From the main train station (Würzburg Hauptbahnhof), take bus number 12 or 14 towards 'Heidingsfeld' or 'Grombühl'. Get off at the stop 'Neumünster', which is very close to your destination. After disembarking, walk a short distance along Martinstraße, and you will find New Munster at Martinstraße 4, just a few steps away.

• Taxi

  If you prefer to take a taxi, you can easily find one at designated taxi stands outside major locations such as the main train station or the city center. Simply ask the driver to take you to 'Martinstraße 4, Würzburg'. The journey should take around 5-10 minutes depending on traffic.

• Bicycle

  If you are renting a bicycle, start from the city center and head towards Domstraße. Follow Domstraße until you reach the junction with Martinstraße. Turn right onto Martinstraße and continue cycling straight for a few blocks. New Munster will be on your right at Martinstraße 4.
