If you are driving from Zugspitze, start by heading south on B2. Follow the B2 for approximately 15 kilometers until you reach the junction for Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Stay on B2 and take the exit toward Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Continue on this road until you reach the town center, where you will follow the signs to Burgruine Werdenfels. The castle is located at Ruine Werdenfels 1, 82467 Garmisch-Partenkirchen. There is a small parking area near the entrance, but be aware that parking may incur a fee of around €3 for 3 hours.

From Zugspitze, take the Zugspitzbahn train to Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The train ride takes about 45 minutes. Get off at the 'Burgrain' stop, and from there, it’s a 15-minute walk up to Burgruine Werdenfels.
