From Cape Coast Castle, head east on Castle Road. After about 500 meters, turn left onto a small path that leads towards the beach. Continue along the beach for another 700 meters until you reach the fishing village of Kormantin. Once you are in Kormantin, ask a local for directions to Fort Amsterdam, which is located inland from the beach. It should be a short 10-minute walk from the beach area.

Rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Cape Coast. Start by cycling down Castle Road towards the east. After about 1 km, take a right onto the road that leads to Abandze. Continue cycling for approximately 2 km until you see signs for Fort Amsterdam. The fort will be on your left-hand side. The entire trip should take about 15-20 minutes.
