Getting There

    From the center of Cape Coast, head west along the main road (N1). Continue straight for about 3 km until you reach the junction with the sign for Abandze. Turn left onto the road leading to Abandze and walk for another 1.5 km. As you approach Abandze, keep an eye out for the signs directing you to Fort Amsterdam. The fort is located near the coast, and you may see it from the road. Continue walking until you reach Fort Amsterdam, which is located at the coordinates 5.1924465, -1.0930705.

  • Bicycle

    Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Cape Coast. Start from the town center and head west on the main road (N1). Cycle straight for approximately 3 km until you reach the Abandze junction, then take a left. Continue cycling for about 1.5 km towards Abandze. Look for signs indicating Fort Amsterdam as you get closer. The fort will be along the coastal area, and the ride should take around 20-30 minutes depending on your pace.
