Getting there

Car

If you are driving from Accra, take the N1 highway towards Cape Coast. After about 90 km, take the exit toward the Central Region. Continue on the main road until you reach the town of Nyankomasu. Once in Nyankomasu, follow local signs to the Nyankomasu Waterfalls, which is approximately 15 minutes from the town center. Be prepared for some unpaved roads leading to the waterfall area.

Public Transportation

From Accra, board a bus heading to Cape Coast or Takoradi. After about 2 to 3 hours, disembark at Cape Coast. From there, take a shared taxi or a trotro (minibus) to Nyankomasu. The taxi ride should take about 30 minutes. Ensure to negotiate the fare before getting in. Once in Nyankomasu, ask locals for directions to the waterfalls, as they are well-known in the area.

If you find yourself in the town of Nyankomasu, you can walk to the Nyankomasu Waterfalls. The waterfalls are about a 30-minute walk from the town center. Follow the main road out of town, and keep an eye out for local signs or ask locals for guidance. The path may be uneven and rural, so wear comfortable shoes.
