Getting there

Car

If you are traveling by car from Yendi to Gambaga Escarpment, start by heading northwest on the main road out of Yendi. Follow the signs towards Gambaga. The drive is approximately 30 to 45 minutes, depending on traffic and road conditions. Once you reach Gambaga, look for the signs directing you to the escarpment, which is located at GG7X+6HP. There is usually no entrance fee, but it’s advisable to check for any updates on costs beforehand.

Public Transportation

For those using public transportation, you can catch a shared taxi or a trotro (minibus) from Yendi to Gambaga. Head to the main transport hub in Yendi, where you can find vehicles heading to Gambaga. The fare is typically around 5 to 10 GHS per person. The journey may take about 45 minutes to an hour. Upon arrival in Gambaga, you may need to hire a motorbike taxi (also known as an ‘okada’) to take you to the escarpment, which should cost around 10 to 15 GHS.
