Getting There

    If you're driving from the Mole National Park area, begin your journey by heading southwest on the road leading out of the park. Continue on this road for approximately 35 kilometers (around 22 miles) until you reach the junction at the town of Damongo. From the junction, take the road that leads toward Pisie. Follow this road for about 15 kilometers (around 9 miles). The Wechiau Hippo Sanctuary will be on your left, marked by signs indicating the sanctuary entrance.

    For those using public transportation, you will first need to get to Damongo. You can take a shared taxi or a bus from the nearest town or city to Mole National Park.
