Car
If you are driving from Nzema, head east on the main road towards Takoradi. Continue on this road for about 40 km until you reach the junction for Cape Coast. Take the right turn towards Cape Coast and follow the signs. After approximately 20 km, you will enter Cape Coast. As you reach the city, keep an eye out for Victoria Road, where Cape Coast Castle is located. The castle is situated along this road, and parking is available nearby. Note that there may be parking fees, typically around 2 to 5 GHS.
Public Transportation (Tro-Tro)
To reach Cape Coast Castle from Nzema using public transportation, head to the nearest tro-tro station. Board a tro-tro heading to Cape Coast. The journey will take about 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on traffic and stops. Once you arrive at the Cape Coast tro-tro station, you can either walk or take a taxi to Victoria Road. The walk is approximately 15 minutes; simply head towards the waterfront and look for signs directing you to Cape Coast Castle. If you prefer a taxi, the fare should be around 10 to 15 GHS.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from Nzema to Cape Coast Castle. This option will be more expensive, typically ranging from 100 to 150 GHS, but will get you there in about 1 hour. Provide the driver with the address 'Victoria Road, Cape Coast,' and they will take you directly to the castle entrance.
