Getting There

  • Car

    From any location in the Western Region, head towards Takoradi on the N1 highway. Continue on the N1 until you reach the junction for the N10 road towards Kumasi. Take the N10 and follow the signs to Nkawkaw. As you approach Nkawkaw, you will take a right turn onto the Nkwatia-Obo road. Drive for approximately 12 kilometers, and you will arrive at Obo. Be prepared for some potholes along the route and ensure your vehicle has enough fuel as petrol stations may be sparse.

  • Public Transportation (Bus)

    To reach Obo by public transport, first make your way to the main bus terminal in Takoradi. Look for buses heading towards Kumasi and ask if they will stop at Nkawkaw. The bus fare will typically be around GHS 20-30, depending on the bus company and time of travel. Once you reach Nkawkaw, disembark and find a local trotro heading to Obo. The trotro fare should be approximately GHS 2-5. The trotro ride will take about 30 minutes, and you should inform the driver that you want to get off at Obo.
