Walking
From Main Street, head north and follow signs for the Upper Rock Nature Reserve. The Castle Steps are located along a path leading up the Rock. The walk can be steep, so wear comfortable shoes. Allow approximately 1.5 to 3 hours to hike to the top, depending on your pace. There is no cost for walking to the entrance of the Upper Rock Nature Reserve, but entry to the reserve requires a ticket.
Public Transport
Take bus number 2 from Main Street towards the Gibraltar Nature Reserve. Get off at the bus stop near the entrance. From there, follow the signs directing you towards Castle Steps, about a 15-minute walk. Bus fare is approximately £1.80 for a single ticket or £2.50 for a return. A Hopper ticket for unlimited daily travel costs £6.
Car
From the main roads in Gibraltar, follow the A302 towards the Gibraltar Nature Reserve. Park at the designated parking area near the entrance. From the parking area, walk approximately 10 minutes to reach the Castle Steps, following the signs. Parking costs vary, but expect to pay around £2-3 per hour. Note that parking can be limited.
