Walking
From Casemates Square, walk south along Main Street, then follow Europa Road. Continue past the Rock Hotel and turn onto Engineer Road. Follow signs to the Upper Rock Nature Reserve and the Pillars of Hercules, where you'll find the ticket office. The Mediterranean Steps trailhead is a short walk from there. Expect a 40-minute walk from Casemates Square to the entrance.
Public Transport
From the Gibraltar International Airport or the city center, take bus route 3 towards Europa Point. Get off at the Alameda Gardens stop, which is a 10-15 minute walk to the entrance of the Upper Rock Nature Reserve. From there, follow the walking directions to the Mediterranean Steps trailhead. A single bus fare costs approximately £2.20.
Taxi
Taxis are readily available at the Gibraltar International Airport, the border with Spain, and in Casemates Square. A taxi ride from the airport or city center to the Upper Rock Nature Reserve entrance will cost approximately £10-£15. Confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey.
