Rock Gun Battery, located on the North Face of the Rock of Gibraltar, is a testament to the region's military history. Constructed during the Great Siege of Gibraltar (1779-1783), its strategic position high on Middle Hill provided an advantageous firing point. The battery was rebuilt during the Second World War and later used by the Ministry of Defence as an aerial farm. Informative plaques detail the history and significance of the battery, offering insights into the military operations that took place here.
