Walking
From Main Street, head south towards the Alameda Gardens. The Cable Car base station is located adjacent to the gardens, at the southern end of Main Street, just off Red Sands Road. The walk is relatively flat and takes approximately 10-15 minutes from Casemates Square. Look for signs indicating the direction of the Cable Car.
Public Transport
Several bus routes serve the Cable Car base station. The Gibraltar Bus Company operates routes 2, 3, 4, 9 and 10, which stop near the base station. Check local bus schedules for the most up-to-date information. A single bus fare costs approximately £2.20.
Taxi
Taxis are readily available throughout Gibraltar, including at the airport, border, and Casemates Square. A taxi ride from the Gibraltar International Airport to the Cable Car base station typically costs around £10-£15. Ensure the taxi driver knows you want to go to the Cable Car located off Red Sands Road.
