Walking
From the Market Place in the city center, the Moorish Castle is approximately a 15-20 minute uphill walk. Head north on Main Street, then turn east onto Governor's Street. Continue onto Willis's Road, following signs for the Moorish Castle and Upper Rock Nature Reserve. The castle entrance will be on your left. Note that the walk is steep in places.
Public Transport
Take Bus Route 1 from the city center to the Willis's Road Terminus, the last stop on the route. From there, it is a short uphill walk to the Moorish Castle. A single bus ticket costs approximately £2.20.
Taxi
Taxis are readily available in Gibraltar. A taxi from the city center to the Moorish Castle will cost approximately £5-£7. Ensure the driver is aware of your destination.
Driving
Navigate to the Gibraltar Nature Reserve. Once inside the reserve, follow signs to the Moorish Castle. Parking is limited near the castle. Parking fees within the Nature Reserve vary, but expect to pay around £2 per hour. Be aware that private vehicles, except for Blue Badge holders, may have restricted access to the Upper Rock.
