Getting There

  • Walking

    While you cannot reach the Aerobeacon directly, you can walk to nearby vantage points within the Upper Rock Nature Reserve to get a good view. From the Gibraltar Cable Car top station, walk south along St. Michael's Road, then take O'Hara's Road uphill. This leads to O'Hara's Battery, which offers views of the Aerobeacon. Note that entry to the Upper Rock Nature Reserve requires a ticket.

  • Public Transport

    Take Bus route 2 from the Gibraltar Harbour area towards the Upper Rock Nature Reserve. Get off at the stop nearest the entrance to the reserve. From there, walk approximately 15 minutes uphill towards Rock Gun Battery, following signs for the battery. From Rock Gun Battery, you can view the Aerobeacon. A single bus fare costs approximately £1.60-£1.80.

  • Taxi

    A taxi from the Gibraltar border or city center to the Upper Rock Nature Reserve entrance will provide access to the closest accessible viewing points of the Aerobeacon. Expect to pay around £20-£30 for a one-way trip. From the Nature Reserve entrance, it is a 15-minute walk to Rock Gun Battery, which offers views of the Aerobeacon. Remember that the taxi fare does not include the Nature Reserve entrance fee.
