Discover more about Admirals Place

Admirals Place is a prestigious residential estate located in Gibraltar's South District, offering a blend of luxury living and historical significance. Developed in the late 1990s on the grounds of the former British Military Hospital, later the Royal Naval Hospital, the estate provides residents with an exclusive and tranquil environment. Originally built in the 1730s, the site served as a British Military Hospital, providing healthcare for military personnel and local sailors. The hospital underwent several reconstructions and was converted into Military Married Quarters in the 1950s. In the 1980s, it was handed over to the Government of Gibraltar and redeveloped into the residential estate it is today. The redevelopment was carried out with great sensitivity to the site's historical and architectural features, earning it a Gibraltar Heritage Award. The original roofs and facades were preserved, and period features such as wrought iron balconies, spacious rooms, high ceilings, and fireplaces were retained. Admirals Place is known for its beautifully landscaped gardens, offering panoramic views of the Straits of Gibraltar, Spain, and Africa. The estate features a mix of refurbished colonial houses and newly built houses, as well as communal green areas and a swimming pool for residents to enjoy. It is located within walking distance of beaches and local amenities, providing an elevated quality of life.
