Getting There

  • Car

    If you're traveling by car, head towards the main entrance of Upper Rock Nature Reserve, located at the intersection of Lord Nelson's Road and Upper Rock Road. Once you enter the reserve, follow the signs for the various attractions within. To reach Bolonia, take the A-7 highway south towards Tarifa, and then follow the signs for Bolonia. The drive takes approximately 30 minutes depending on traffic.

  • Public Transportation

    For public transportation, start at the main bus terminal in Gibraltar. Take bus number 4 towards the Upper Rock Nature Reserve. Once you get off at the cable car station, you can either hike or take the cable car to the top of the Rock for stunning views. To reach Bolonia from there, you will need to take another bus back to the main terminal and then catch a bus heading towards Tarifa. From Tarifa, you can take a local bus to Bolonia. This journey may take approximately 1.5 hours to 2 hours depending on connections.
