Walking
From the Cable Car Top Station, St. Michael's Cave is a 15-20 minute downhill walk. Follow the signs, enjoying the views along the way. Note that a Nature Reserve ticket is required to access the area. Consider walking from the town center, though it's a steep climb of approximately 3 km. Allow about 32 minutes for the walk.

Public Transport
From the Gibraltar Airport or Port, take a Citibus Route 5 or 10 to the Market Place in the town center. From there, connect to a bus that takes you to the Cable Car base station, such as Route 2, 3, 4, 7, or 9. Alight at the Cable Car - Lower Station (City). Take the Cable Car to the Top Station. A round trip ticket costs approximately £16 for adults and £10 for children. From the top, it's a 15-20 minute downhill walk to the cave.

Taxis are readily available throughout Gibraltar, including at the airport and port. A taxi can take you directly to the entrance of the Gibraltar Nature Reserve, near St. Michael's Cave. Confirm the fare before starting your journey. A taxi from the airport to St Michael's Cave will cost approximately $30-$40.

Driving
If driving, follow signs to the Upper Rock Nature Reserve. Parking is available near the entrance, but it can be limited during peak season. Be aware that non-resident vehicles are restricted within the Nature Reserve, except for Blue Badge holders. Parking near the Cable Car bottom station is available. Parking for most of the day in La Linea, the Spanish town adjacent to Gibraltar, costs around €20.
