Getting There

  • Walking

    Start your journey from the center of Alexandroupoli, specifically from the main square (Plateia). From the square, head east on 14th May Street toward the seafront. Once you reach the waterfront, turn left and walk along the promenade. Enjoy the beautiful views of the Aegean Sea as you continue walking. After about 1.5 km, you will reach the intersection with Epar.Od. Profiti Ilia. Turn right onto Epar.Od. Profiti Ilia and continue walking for approximately 2 km. You will see the church of Prophet Elias on your left, situated on a small hill, marked by its distinctive architecture.

  • Public Transport

    From the central bus station (KTEL) in Alexandroupoli, take a local bus heading towards Profitis Ilias. The bus should have a route that includes stops at Epar.Od. Profiti Ilia. The journey will take about 20-30 minutes. Once you arrive at the nearest bus stop to Profitis Ilias, disembark and walk approximately 500 meters up the road. You will find Prophet Elias church at the top of the hill, easily recognizable by its traditional Greek Orthodox architecture.
