Getting There

  • Walking

    If you're starting from Syntagma Square, head southeast towards Vasileos Georgiou A' Street. Continue straight until you reach Amalias Avenue. Turn left onto Amalias Avenue and walk for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Vasilissis Sofias Avenue. Turn right onto Vasilissis Sofias Avenue. Continue walking for about 700 meters, and then turn left onto Stadiou Street. Keep walking straight, and shortly after, you will see the entrance to the Sanctuary of Zeus Polieus on your left side.

  • Metro

    From Monastiraki Metro Station, take the Green Line (Line 1) towards Kifisia. Get off at Omonoia Station (2 stops). Transfer to the Red Line (Line 2) towards Elliniko. Get off at the next stop, which is Acropolis Station. From there, exit the station and head northeast towards the intersection with Vasilissis Sofias Avenue. Walk straight for about 600 meters until you reach the Sanctuary of Zeus Polieus on your right.

    From the National Archaeological Museum, walk to the nearby bus stop at 28is Oktovriou. Take bus number 227 towards Agios Nikolaos. Get off at the stop called 'Kallimarmaro.' From there, walk east along Vasileos Konstantinou street for about 300 meters until you reach the intersection with Vasilissis Sofias Avenue. Turn left and walk for about 300 meters until you find the Sanctuary of Zeus Polieus on your right.
