Getting there

Car

If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Athens. Head southwest on Syntagma Square and take Vasilissis Sofias Avenue. Continue straight to merge onto Leoforos Andrea Siggrou. Follow the signs for the Acropolis and then turn onto Areos Street. Continue until you reach Stirieon Street, where the Temple of Hephaestus is located at number 3. There is limited street parking available nearby, so be prepared to find parking in the surrounding area.

Metro

To reach the Temple of Hephaestus by metro, make your way to the nearest metro station (e.g., Monastiraki). Take Line 1 (Green Line) towards Kifisia and disembark at the Monastiraki station. From the station, exit onto Ermou Street and walk southwest until you reach Areos Street. Turn left onto Areos Street and continue walking until you reach Stirieon Street. The temple is located at number 3. The entire journey should take around 15-20 minutes from Monastiraki station.

Bus

If you prefer to take the bus, look for bus lines 025, 027, or 550, which stop near the Temple of Hephaestus. Board the bus at the nearest stop to your location and get off at the 'Thissio' stop. From there, walk east towards Stirieon Street. The temple is located at number 3. The bus journey may take around 30-40 minutes depending on traffic.
