If you are in central Platanias, start by heading towards the main road (Kriti Street). Walk along the main road in the direction of Agia Marina. After about 10 minutes, you will reach the intersection with a traffic light. Continue straight, and you will see the WW2 Museum on your left, just a few minutes further down the road. The museum is located at Platanias 730 14. Look for a small sign indicating the museum entrance.
Public Bus
From Platanias, you can take a local bus towards Chania. The bus stop is usually located near the main square of Platanias. Purchase a ticket from the bus driver (cost is around €1.50). Get off at the 'Platanias' stop, which is the stop closest to the WW2 Museum. From there, walk about 5 minutes back towards the main road, and you will find the museum on your left.
Bicycle Rental
If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Platanias. Once you have your bike, head out towards the main road (Kriti Street) and follow the same route as if you were walking. It should take approximately 5 minutes to cycle to the WW2 Museum. Remember to park your bike in a safe location near the museum.
