Walking
From the center of Agios Nikolaos, head towards the waterfront. Walk along the promenade towards the east until you reach the end of the marina. Continue walking for about 1 km, following the road signs towards Almyros Beach. You'll pass some local shops and cafes on the way. After approximately 15-20 minutes, you will see signs indicating Almyros Beach, which is known for its beautiful sandy shores.
Public Bus
If you prefer not to walk, you can take the local bus to Almyros. From the main bus station in Agios Nikolaos, look for buses heading towards Elounda or the beach area. The fare is approximately €1.50. You will need to inform the bus driver of your destination and get off at the stop for Almyros Beach. This journey takes about 10-15 minutes.
Bicycle Rental
For an enjoyable ride, consider renting a bicycle from a local shop in Agios Nikolaos. There are several rental options available near the waterfront. After renting a bike, head east along the coastline, following the same route as the walking directions. The bike ride will take about 10-15 minutes, and you can enjoy the scenic views along the way.
