Getting there

Bus

From Rethymno, head to the central bus station (Ktel Rethymno) located on E. Venizelou Street. Purchase a ticket to Plakias. The bus departs regularly, and the journey takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Plakias, you will need to take a local bus or a taxi to Damnoni Beach, which is about 5 km away. The local bus stop is near the main square in Plakias, and buses run every hour during the summer months.

Taxi

If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from anywhere in Rethymno to Damnoni Beach. Make sure to confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey. The taxi ride should take around 30 minutes, depending on traffic.

Walking

If you are in Plakias and prefer to walk, head from the Plakias main square towards the beach. Follow the signs leading to Damnoni Beach. The walk is about 5 km and should take approximately 1 hour. Enjoy the scenic route along the coast as you make your way to the beach.
