From the center of Heraklion, walk to the Central Bus Station located at 1 28th October Street. Catch the bus heading towards Agia Pelagia, which is a frequent route. Inform the driver you want to stop at Mononaftis beach. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive, walk a short distance down to the beach area, which is well signposted.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct option, you can take a taxi from anywhere in Heraklion. Simply tell the driver to take you to Mononaftis beach, located at Mononaftis 715 00. This option is faster, taking around 20 minutes depending on traffic. Taxis can be hailed on the street or booked via a local taxi service.

For the adventurous, you can walk to Mononaftis beach from Agia Pelagia, which is about 3 km away. Head north towards the coast along the main road, following signs to Mononaftis. The route is scenic but be mindful of traffic. It may take approximately 40-45 minutes.
