Bus
From the center of Heraklion, head to the main bus station (KTEL) located at 2, 62 Martyron Ave. Take bus number 1 or 2 heading towards Rouvas. The journey will take approximately 45 minutes. Disembark at the stop 'Rouvas'. From the bus stop, follow the main road until you see signs directing you to Rouvas Forest, which is a short 10-minute walk.
Walking
If you are staying in the central area of Heraklion, you can walk to Rouvas Forest. Head towards the direction of the Venetian Walls, walking past the Morosini Fountain. Continue straight on 1866 Street, then take a left towards the Karteros area. Follow the road signs leading to Rouvas; it's roughly a 1.5-hour walk, so be prepared with comfortable shoes and water.
Taxi
You can easily find a taxi in the city center of Heraklion. Simply tell the driver you want to go to Rouvas Forest (or show them the address: Rouvas 700 02). The taxi ride will take around 25-30 minutes depending on traffic. Make sure to agree on the fare or ensure the meter is running.
