Getting There

From Heraklion, take the KTEL bus from the central bus station (Bus Station A) to Zaros. Buses to Zaros run approximately every hour. The journey takes about 1 hour. Make sure to check the current bus schedule as it may vary. Once you arrive at the Zaros bus station, the lake is about a 20-minute walk away.
Walking

After getting off the bus at Zaros, head southwest towards the village center. Walk along the main road until you reach a sign for Techniti Limni (Artificial Lake). Follow the signs, which will guide you through the village streets. Continue straight until you see the lake ahead. The scenic route also features local shops and cafes along the way.
