If you're starting from the Heraklion Archaeological Museum, exit the museum and head south on Xanthoudidou Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Epimenidou Street. Turn right onto Epimenidou Street, and continue walking for about 300 meters. You will see Sampionara Bastion on your left, just before the intersection with 25th August Street.

From Lions Square (Plateia Liontaria), walk toward the fountain and exit the square to the north. Follow 25th August Street until you reach the intersection with Epimenidou Street. Turn left onto Epimenidou Street, and after about 200 meters, Sampionara Bastion will be on your right.
