Getting There

• Bus

  From the center of Ioannina, walk to the central bus station (Ktel) located on Karamanli Avenue. Take a local bus heading towards the direction of the Lake Pamvotida. The bus ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Keep an eye out for stops; you can ask the bus driver to notify you when you reach the Lake Pamvotida stop.

• Walking

  If you prefer to walk, head towards the lake from the city center. Start at the main square (Plateia Gounari) and walk in the direction of the lake. Follow the signs leading to the waterfront area, approximately a 30-minute walk. Once you reach the waterfront, continue along the lake until you reach the designated areas around Lake Pamvotida, which is well-marked.

• Taxi

  For a more direct and comfortable option, you can take a taxi from anywhere in Ioannina to Lake Pamvotida. Simply tell the driver 'Λίμνη Παμβώτιδα' (Límni Pamvótida) or show them the address (Παμβώτιδα 452 21). The ride should take about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic.

• Bicycle

  If you enjoy cycling, you can rent a bicycle from local shops in Ioannina. Head towards the waterfront area along the designated bike paths, which lead directly to Lake Pamvotida. The ride should take around 20 minutes. Make sure to follow the bike lanes and respect pedestrian areas.
