Walking
From the center of Ioannina, head towards the lake (Lake Pamvotis). You can start from the main square (Plateia Koinotitas). Walk north along the lakeside promenade, enjoying the view of the water. Continue walking until you reach the end of the promenade, where you will find a road leading up the hill towards Vradeto. Follow the signs for Vradeto and take the uphill path. It will take approximately 30-40 minutes to walk to Vradeto, with the last part being a steep incline.
Public Transport
From Ioannina city center, you can take a local bus that heads towards the village of Vradeto. Check the local bus schedule for the most current times. The bus will drop you off at the nearest stop to Vradeto. After getting off, follow the signs towards Vradeto village, which is about a 15-minute walk from the bus stop, mostly uphill. Be sure to confirm with the bus driver or local residents about the exact stop for Vradeto.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from the center of Ioannina to Vradeto. You can find taxis near the main square or call for one through your hotel. The drive will take about 20 minutes. Once you arrive in Vradeto, you may need to walk a short distance to your final destination, as some areas might be restricted to vehicles.
