If you're driving to Jerusalem Beach, start by heading towards the town of Erisos, located in the northern part of Kefalonia. From Argostoli, the capital, take the main road (EO 20) heading north. Continue on this road for approximately 34 km until you reach the junction for Erisos. Turn left onto the road leading to Erisos. After about 10 km, follow the signs to Jerusalem Beach. The beach is located at the coordinates 38.4251° N, 20.5447° E. There is parking available near the beach, but be aware that it can get busy during peak season.
Public Transportation
To reach Jerusalem Beach using public transportation, take a bus from Argostoli to Erisos. The bus service is operated by KTEL and runs several times a day. The journey takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Once you arrive in Erisos, you will need to take a taxi or walk to the beach, which is approximately 3 km from the bus stop. Taxis are usually available near the bus stop, and the fare should be around €10-€15. Be sure to check the bus timetable ahead of time, as services may be limited, especially on weekends.
Bicycle
For the adventurous, cycling to Jerusalem Beach is a great option. You can rent a bicycle in Argostoli and follow the same route as cars. The ride is about 34 km and mostly downhill as you approach the beach. Be sure to bring plenty of water and snacks, as there are limited stops along the way. The ride can take approximately 2-3 hours, depending on your cycling pace. Remember to wear a helmet and follow local traffic rules.
