Visiting Delphi and Meteora, Greece JUL 2025 In July, we were on a tour across Greek mainland exploring the iconic historic sites from Delphi and Meteora to Athens. Then we sailed by ferry to Santorini and Crete. It was a wonderful 12 days exploring some of the most beautiful and iconic sights of this destination. From the whispering mountains of Delphi, where ancient oracles once spoke to kings, to the soaring stone pillars of Meteora crowned with monasteries in the clouds, Greece mesmerizes the visitors through myth, history, and breathtaking landscapes. Greece has always lived in my imagination as a place I longed to see. As a child, I would sit quietly and listen while my mother taught her grade eight pupils about the ancient civilizations. The light in her voice, her boundless love for literature, history, and the wonders of nature, awakened something in me that never faded. From those early days, I was spellbound by the mysteries and myths of long-lost worlds—Egypt with its timeless pyramids, Greece with its gods and heroes, Mesopotamia with its rivers of legend, and the Indus Valley where humanity first began to dream. To me, they were more than lessons; they were windows into eternity. A visit to Greece is not complete without exploring the mainland. Driving across the Greek mainland, we were able to trace the footsteps of philosophers and pilgrims, wander among gods and legends, and finally we arrived in the heart of it all—Athens—where the Parthenon still keeps watch over the cradle of democracy.
