Car
From Mount Taygetos, head towards the town of Kalamata by following the main road signs. Depending on your specific location in Mount Taygetos, you can take the E65 highway. Follow the E65 southbound until you reach Kalamata. Once in Kalamata, look for signs for the city center. When you approach the city, take the exit toward Agios Nikolaos/Kalamata. Continue straight until you reach Valaoritou street, where Central Square is located. Parking may be available nearby, but be prepared to pay for parking in designated areas.

If you prefer public transport, you can take a local bus from various villages in the Mount Taygetos area to Kalamata. Check the local bus schedule for times. Once you arrive at the Kalamata bus station, follow the signs towards the city center. It’s about a 15-minute walk to Central Square (Valaoritou 2). Head north on Nestoros Street, turn left onto Aristomenous Street, and then right onto Valaoritou Street to reach the square. Note that the bus fare may vary but is generally inexpensive, around 3-5 euros.
