Car
If you're driving, take the main road towards Athens. From the North Aegean region, you can use the E90 highway. Once you approach Athens, follow the signs for 'Athens Center' and look for 'Lycabettus Hill.' There is limited parking near the foot of the hill, so be prepared to walk a bit if the parking lot is full. Parking may incur a fee, so check the signage when you arrive.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, take a bus or ferry to Athens. Once in Athens, you can catch the Metro. Take Line 3 (the blue line) to 'Evangelismos' station. From there, it's about a 20-minute walk to the base of Lycabettus Hill. Alternatively, you can take a taxi from the station to the hill if you prefer not to walk.
Funicular Railway
Once you reach the base of Lycabettus Hill, you have the option to take the Lycabettus Funicular Railway to the summit. The funicular station is located at the base of the hill and operates daily. Tickets for the funicular cost around €7 for a round trip. The funicular ride offers stunning views of Athens.
Walking
If you're feeling adventurous, you can hike to the top of Lycabettus Hill. There are several walking paths leading up to the summit, which provide a great opportunity to enjoy the natural scenery. The walk can take about 30 minutes, and it’s a bit steep, so wear comfortable shoes.
