Kimolos is accessible by ferry from Athens (Piraeus or Lavrio) and other Cycladic islands. From Piraeus, the ferry takes 6-10 hours. From Lavrio, the ferry takes approximately 14.5 hours. Ferries also connect Kimolos to Milos, Sifnos, Serifos, Folegandros and others. The port of Kimolos is in Psathi. Alternatively, fly to Milos and take a local ferry from Pollonia to Kimolos. The ferry from Pollonia to Psathi takes about 30 minutes. Ferry tickets from Piraeus to Kimolos range from €43.50. Ferry tickets from Milos (Adamantas) to Kimolos range from €4.50. Ferry tickets from Pollonia to Kimolos are about €2.40.
Local Transportation
Getting around Kimolos is possible by bus, taxi, or rental car/motorbike. A local bus connects the port of Psathi with Chorio and the main beaches. Taxis are available but limited; it is best to call in advance. Rental services can be found at the port. A taxi from the port to Chorio costs approximately €10-15. Car rentals range from €30-50 per day, depending on the season and vehicle.
