From Rethymno, head to the local bus station located near the Old Port. Take the bus heading towards Chania, and get off at the Gavalochori stop. The Folklore Museum of Gavalochori is about a 10-minute walk from the bus stop. Exit the bus, and walk straight along Epar.Od. Galochoriou-Agiou Pavlou road. The museum is located at number 26 on your right.

You can easily find a taxi in Rethymno, particularly around the Old Town area or the bus station. Ask the driver to take you to the Folklore Museum of Gavalochori located at Epar.Od. Galochoriou-Agiou Pavlou 26. The ride should take around 15-20 minutes depending on traffic.

Walking
If you prefer to walk, start from the Old Town of Rethymno. Head north towards the waterfront promenade and follow the coast until you reach the main road (Epar.Od. Galochoriou-Agiou Pavlou). Continue on this road for approximately 7 kilometers. The Folklore Museum will be located on your left at number 26. This walk will take about 1.5 to 2 hours, so ensure you wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
